What is Sicaro™ timber?

Our timber is sourced from sustainably managed forests, and we operate with full transparency in our practices, ensuring that every step of our process supports responsible forestry and environmental stewardship.

Is Sicaro™ knot free?

Some trees are pruned as they grow to remove branches and create clear defect free timber alternatively we grade and optimise timber to provide defect free product.

How is Sicaro™ made?

We have created a patented technology and process that gives fast growing plantation softwood the hardness, colour and performance of premium hardwood. This is achieved by impregnating a colored waterborne formulation all the way through sawn timber which is then dried to lock in performance and achieve a final desired moisture content.

Is Sicaro™ fire resistent

Yes, Sicaro™ has been tested to ASTM – 84 Sicaro™ Decking and Sicaro™ Siding achieved a Class A result.

Is Sicaro™ guaranteed?

All Sicaro™ products come with a 55 year warranty against rot and decay when used outdoors above ground

Does Sicaro™ contain chemicals?

Sicaro™ uses water based technology and when cured this is completely inert achieving the highest industry standards in terms of emissions – Sicaro™ products can also be recycled as timber at the end of their lifespan if required.

Does Sicaro™ fade?

The timber fortification process locks performance and color to the core of all Sicaro products and without a protective coating will mature to a grey patina over time.

What is fortication

With fortification the timber cells are strengthened and supported by a hard, strong and completely inert structural polymer.
